Hugh and his wife Cheryl have planted two churches and are working on a planting a third right now.
Hugh is also the founder of Missio, a mission training organization, and the author of Sacrilege, BiVO, and co-author of The Tangible Kingdom, AND, and FLESH. His latest book is titled Brimstone: The Act and Act of Holy Nonjudgement. He speaks extensively, encouraging and equipping pastors in incarnational ministry and missional leadership.
Hugh & Cheryl now live on a small urban ranch in Denver. Cheryl is a real estate agent and is living her life long dream of having horses and Hugh is hoping to someday get a John Deere tractor. While he waits, he enjoys having dudes over to his “McHugh’s Wildhorse Saloon” in their barn.
Hugh & Cheryl have 3 children. After 25 years of living at home, their son Ryan who has struggled with epilepsy since birth, now lives in Beverly Farms, an assisted living center in Illinois for adults with disabilities. Ryan now enjoys making key chains, taking college courses, riding horses and according to Hugh, checking out the ladies. Their oldest daughter Alli is newly married to Matthew. She is teaching elementary ed in inner city Denver and he is an EMT headed for a life as a paramedic. Their youngest daughter Mckenna will be a junior at Northwestern University in Iowa and is a freak for crossfit.
